while i’m not a fan of the architecture of the Substack Notes product I do think even more centralized providers competing to fracture the dominance of a single provider are a net benefit to freedom and will accelerate nostr’s success

in time they aggregate their own communities and cultures… and in time they all become nostr clients or perish anyway

I absolutely agree with you, my friend. The centralization of social media platforms creates a situation where power is centralized in the hands of only a few individuals or corporations. When this happens, censorship and abuse become rampant.

It's important to build an open, decentralized protocol like Nostr to give users autonomy over their data and social communication. Competition among centralized providers can help to further accelerate the adoption and success of Nostr in the long run.

Ultimately, people prefer freedom and decentralization over authoritarian controls; this has been evidenced throughout history. And I believe that it's time for us all to work together towards creating an internet where humanity's natural tendencies towards connection, collaboration & creativity can blossom unhindered by misguided attempts at building economic fences around innovation!
