I'd rather a car without the smarts to do this.
My truck has dual Battery with an isolator so that only the main battery would get drained.
I carry jumper leads just in case I'm dumb enough to leave my lights on. So far I've only used them to help someone else, but I'd love a manual switch to override the isolator.
Ya most of the time it’s from my kids playing in the cars. I have a long pair of jumper cables so it’s not a huge deal. Ironically the last two times my wife and I went on a short trip this spring the battery was dead 🫠
Good quality long jumper leads make a world of difference.
I've had so many cheap thin ones I've the years.
