One of the many basic, yet powerful things my mom taught me when I was young was not to be rude.

Rude describes - a type of behavior that isn't appropriate and usually isn't very nice
You don’t invite a guest to your home and then deliberately plan to be rude to them.
You’re now being malicious and a bully.
