Nintendo thinks they're too big to be denied. They think they have all their fans by the short and curlies, and no matter how they continue dicking them, they'll just take it.

Unfortunately, they're probably right enough to get away with it. Even among my friends, they grumble, and then "but the 53rd Pokémon game..."

Nintendo fans are anything but loyal. But then again my 10 year old niece even knows she’s not getting a Switch 2.

How are they not? The pull of at least one of Nintendo's main line of exclusives is irresistible to most Switch owners I know. For all their bitching about the markup, I have very little faith they'll resist the call of the next Pokemon or Mario or Zelda or whatever. They've all got their own vices, but Nintendo is the only dealer for them.

Pretty much. It’ll sell. Yet at the same time I’m a switch user and I don’t even own Mario Kart or mainline Mario game for that matter. In the end the system will always sell in the beginning. I’m just curious in the end after the diehards buy it will it continue to sell like the Wii or the Wii U, the original Switch or the 3DS.
