Cashew juice always struck me as funny since it tastes a lot like the cashew nut but it is sweet/tangy.

cashews are full of starch too

also i never saw such a thing but yes theoretically there would be a fruit

literally never seen this being sold before, i wonder if there is any place on this island with it since we are on the sea route to brazil

yes, brazil is where i had it. at little food stands with sandwiches and fruit juices. I'm looking at where Madeira is on a map.

yeah, madeira, the canaries, cape verde, all part of a ridge between north africa and south america... people have been traveling across this path for more than the 600 years that are officially told, there is several points you can stop along the way and i believe even someone succeeded in making the crossing on tech from south american tribal cultures

there was a long time of not much traffic though, otherwise the tomato, potato and capsicum would have been in europe long before that

also there is records of the chinese visiting the americas at least back in the 1400s

lush volcanic landscapes are so beautiful

i grew up in this kind of country, on the mountain ridge between the dry flat land and the coastal subtropical lands covered in fertile black soil

mountains between dry flat and coastal subtropical... you are very lucky as I don't think this is a very common geography to grow up in. California, Australia, Mediterranean...

well, it's where about 15% of australia's population is situated, along the Great Dividing Range... and there is some patches of rainforest dotted along the line... haven't been in rainforest in a long time but then again some serious parasites in rainforests i'm not that hot on

sounds lovely. once in a rainforest i saw an earth worm that was as big as a snake sliding through the leaves. gave me quite a scare since I'm from cold climate.
