Raisins have a use...

Beef is a good source of carnitine, zinc, selenium, iron, and B vitamins.

Although some plant foods such as avocado, asparagus and whole wheat bread contain carnitine, the amounts are often tens to hundreds of times lower than in animal products.

Carnitine is crucial for energy production since it transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria to be burned, producing energy.

Iron deficiency can reduce carnitine synthesis and increase the need for carnitine from food or supplements.

Dried fruits like prunes, apricots and raisins, legumes, whole grains, iron-fortified foods and vegetables such as spinach, broccoli and asparagus provide good sources of iron for vegans, based on data by the National Institutes of Health.

Iron saps people of their copper and we all have too much. Women bleed once a month which reduces their iron. Men need to give blood to do so.

Good book called “Cure Your Fatigue” does a great job explaining why Copper is so important.
