Why do you need to pay to post when you can just zap developers any time?

I’d love to give a split of INCOMING zaps to devs of the tools being used and the reposters.
Who would get a split for my music if it ever received zaps:
- producers
- performers
- engineers
- developers of free production tools
- developers of free publishing tools
- developers of free “consumption” tool delivering the zap
- media host
- curators/reposters

Snort has this built in. Zaps are split between a pool of people

But other clients did not embrace it. Also, it would miss the option to make some of the splits conditional (media client delivering the zap, curators/reposters acting as marketing, or even media host in a blossom context)
So you’d generate 10 invoices for 1 zap for 10 people? You’d have a high failure rate
Oh, I have no idea how it could be achieved. Just saying it would be cool if it could act like that. I assume that pooling and allowing stakeholders to withdraw would make it easier. But then the pool holds the funds and as it grows attacks become more and more tempting to bad actors.
Pool works just as you described but the split doesn’t happen on every zap but after some time. This reduces the failed invoice rate

Interesting. So we’d just need to find a way to have the pool become the zap target for a track or other collaborative content. Can I make a single note have a different zap address than the other in some clients?
Prisms might make it an instant payment to multiple parties.
Seems some devs find them unsafe at the moment. It’s all beyond my understanding of things. I’m just playing with the idea of nostr content distribution, use code to replace greedy lawyers and accountants. Have zap flow because of content, use the flow of zaps to support infrastructure…

Yeah but only on that client and how would you know where they are posting from? It would need to be on a specific relay but then why not just post to a paid relay and just read from that paid relay. The barrier to posting is too low where other clients may not follow.
i don't understand how the whole network works in detail, all i know is i've never understood why you can't make a micropayment to post on social media, this would kill a load of spam and noise that plagues all social media
You can here but instead of paying every time you just pay once to use a paid relay. If you want signal, read from that relay only.
You could also make lists and just read from a list without micropayments. It’s more about what you filter out vs forcing people to filter in

Idea 2 sounds very close minus the chat gpt stuff to a client I teased (design only) that is all for audio notes. If you see my notes there’s one long one with a bunch of links and one of them is NED.
Idea 3 exists already I think. We have bounty client on nostr where you can zap bounties that you feel are good ideas. Actually I don’t remember if the zap comes out right away or just says you owe this much. It would be easy to get scammed if you zap a stranger right away. I forget the client name but it might be on nostrapps.com
