Bitcoin is demonetizing real estate. A lot of “invoosters” chomping at the bit to “buy the dip” in real estate are going to get burnt badly. It’s for the most part essentially a shitcoin, just one that’s slightly less shitty than the dollar.

Agreed

A shitcoin with constant taxation too

But also with constant subsidies, which is why it became so popular

Gotta figure out how to accelerate the demonetization of real estate

Simply need more people to sell rentals, and buy bitcoin. The more rentals someone owns, the harder it’s going to be to walk away.

It was the best game in town until the genesis block.

But with as little leverage as possible and then refi and turn the equity into bitcoin. As long as you operate the property profitably you can continually buy. Essentially turn it into a perpetual BTC buying machine.

The big city urban landscape will continue to deteriorate with more vacancy. Small towns without leveraged development and vibrant small business will offer a better quality of life. Sad that city life is dependent upon big bank returns. We need places to live and raise families in. If no one invests in improving the buildings/parks what becomes of the places we call home? Bitcoin is great but so is a town to enjoy living in. Capital flight will have interesting outcomes.

That’s gonna be a very long dip

Until real estate starts getting priced in sats

I used to want to own real estate and now I just want to own more bitcoins.

Treat commercial real estate for what it is, a business, not a financial instrument in itself. Buy with little leverage, stabilize, refi and then use the proceeds to buy BTC. As long as you are operating a business that is profitably selling space you’ll have a perpetual BTC buying machine. Basically you can replicate the Saylor strategy.

Are you familiar with the work of Christopher Alexander on design theory in architecture and urban planning? I suspect that his theory will be able to gain traction as bitcoin ascends. Appreciated your talk on new urbanism under bitcoin.
