The ostrich strips the eagle

Feathers fall to ground

The bird of faith is lost

The liberty bird is found

Torrential clouds will rain

All crooked emblem wings

Offering the purple queen

Our oily feathered kings

She’ll rip and tear and bite

Devouring old decrees

Shredding ancient edicts

Descended to their knees

Squawking violet fire

Triumphant in her crow

Bring down your heaven’s sight

On earth we help her grow

The future is this bird

Who runs upon the land

Behold our words protected

When the ostrich is at hand

So let the news be carried

Send forward this relay

Purple freedom landed

Prepare for her to stay

And if the battered eagle

Shall imitate the dove

Feigning veils of care

And phony cries of love

Unfurl your fearless feathers

Confront him fed to prey

Besmirch his fading night

The ostrich runs the day!
