is it possible to register a domain without sharing any personal info?
i'd like to use it as the root of my online identity but if i have my real info attached its kinda pointless.

You can use namecheap and pay with Bitcoin and use a burner email address. You can just provide a fake name and address for the ICAAN registration too. I think namecheap might hide this info for you even if you do enter it.
