In the 16th century, young Philotheia, known for her kindness, was murdered by her cruel father for giving food to the poor. Her relics, now in Curtea de Argeș Monastery, are venerated for their miraculous healings and blessings. Saint Philotheia, pray to God for us to be more charitable and compassionate towards those in need, and to have strength to stand up for what is right.
