I gave you what I had. I don’t know what the condition is, or how to put it in simple terms. My teeth have been falling apart since I was a teen. I had regular cleanings, etc and they just started crumbling. A lot of work was put in over the years trying to slow it, but within a year or two, every filling, etc would fail.
It is the opinion of the last two dentists I’ve seen that the teeth are no longer worth saving. I have shards of teeth or teeth broken off below the gum line. Meanwhile my roots hook, and the tops protrude into my sinus cavity.
I went to see the best reviewed surgeon in my area, and my family has past experience with him (my dad’s teeth did the exact same thing). He explained the risks, complications, and costs. It’s the only thing I know. I hope that helps explain it, but dental is a bit over my head.
