I wonder when we will arrive at the pay for running storage scenario? In other words you mine Bitcoin by having storage for others to connect to. If you get paid for running storage you are incentivized to encourage others and this is decentralized. Like mempool but worse.

There is "filecoin" and "chia" which allegedly do that storage renting stuff. Doesn't really seem to work.

In theory a great idea, they just all have shitcoins attached to them... IPFS + lightning would be cool imo
