My kids are having issues receiving text message notifications on their locked down multiuser "kid accounts" on their DeGoogled GrapheneOS phones.

...simpleX instead? no surveillance

They talk to friends and cousins using texts.

We have Nextcloud Talk running on or own server for private family chats and video calls.
