They’re related to irises. They’re all monocots like grasses but that’s pretty distant!

Almost like an ultra-dwarf iris. I’m glad I picked it up at a plant sale. It surprised me with a flower this morning.

An eastern species is not too rare out here and always makes me happy to see 🥰
