My thinking is that Bitcoin is a kind of bottom-up democracy. It takes the majority of the network to agree on changes or transactions. A powerful counter to today's corrupt democracy 🗳️

I understand. I probably view it more as a tool for democracy. Biggest difference that stands out for me is the ability for the individual to say no to any changes on the network, and carry on as usual.
