nostr is decentralized via relays, which will over time be paid-to-enter; no need for ad revenue
ads on twitter was basically the one thing #[6] regretted - it couldn’t get away from its ad revenue
I doubt that. The fediverse is free for example, and there are very few ppl willing to pay to use social media.

Yup that’s true. Gab and the fediverse are good examples . Run by user donations. Even Parler and Truth Social are free
