I’m not sure, I think on legacy social media divisive posts get popular because of engagement, more the engagement more ad revenue for SM. On nostr why would you want to lose out on zaps from the other side? In fact I think people would be more ready to throw their sats at the person that makes sense, than the person that talks shit?

Or maybe I’m too optimistic 🤷‍♂️

Although I do agree that chasing zaps will influence you. I’m just not sure if it will influence you to be divisive

Legacy social media is definitely more toxic, because algorithms learned to show us divisiveness to maximize engagement. That will be absent on nostr, which is a tremendous improvement.

I guess all I’m really saying is we’ll see echo chambers of “highly zapped” content which is actually low signal. Sometimes divisiveness will be a part of that, but not always
