It's not the Americans, they're wonderful people. Just like every people on earth.
It's the politicians, they're awful mostly everywhere.
Yes. 85% veto power in the IMF means the auS effectively controls the IMF. Why do you think China does their "Belt and Road" initiatives? It's a battle between both countries for control. Pulling out all financial or military support is not an option or those won territories will be taken over by China. It's a war most are unaware of.

Not trying to be a jerk (I don't have to try). I just think its important to remember the state does not really represent the nation (people). At least the US government does not represent me. I can't speak for others but I've asked a lot of people and it's a common feeling. Many innocent people have been murdered by the states of the world with that very justification.
