Replying to Avatar existing sprinkles

Painted temple study.

I thought it would be fun to try to use black gouache. Black is a tough color to paint with because when it mixes with other colors it mutes and muddies them.

Ahhh are you located in Japan? The torii gates are so beautiful. There must be so much natural and architectural beauty everywhere for inspiration.

I was there for awhile last year. I might go back and stay awhile again this year.

There definitely is a lot of inspiration in Japan. Highly recommend visiting.
