I think the first is "how friendly nostr clients to new users" If even 'grandma' can use it easily then it will encourage more users to come. 😄

The second is "how to discover content and people easily". It is probably better if the client already has built-in features instead of users have to use manually external services or tools like nostr.band or nostr.directory

The third is "why the post only about bitcoin, nostr?". Well, this is depend on current users, it will be more interesting that if more users share various topic in the timeline.

I think the third is indirectly linked to the second thing - I'm sure there are people who joined here posting about or trying to find posts about their interests outside of Bitcoin/Nostr but since these posts do not get surfaced easily to a borader audience, it can feel isolating.

Also, new users write to free relays which further reduces visibility to the non-bot people here.

There's only so much people can post without engagement before it feels like talking to the void 😅

Yes, normally content will have some engagements (like, zap, comment) for around 30-60 minutes after the first time it was created. We don't have algo or features that can visibly boost old content as default or opt-in features in most nostr clients. It needs client to develop those kind of features to solve this issue 😅

The trick or the bandaid is try to pick 'crowded' time, usually around early morning in eastern time 😅

You're being generous here. Other than you, I don't think many people respond to the "Hi" notes on global 😅 (And thanks for being that welcoming person)

I think best way for new users will be like a referral, like Jack sometimes does - someone already here posting "Hi, my friend xx is on Nostr" & preferably set up their lighntning wallet , so that new user could get zaps.

Also, the experience varies so much by client.

Yes, it could probably works better, mouth-to-mouth experience speaks more and will encourage new users to try nostr. Especially the effect will be bigger if it comes from Influencers or famous people. Clients need to be better before the influx of new users coming 😅
