Has anyone wrapped their bike in an inner tube like this? Does it actually work as a deterrent? It does make it'll bike look grime-ier. But does it also signal that your bike it worth the effort? Perhaps opportunists going about looking for bikes to steal may not want to bother investigating further? Maybe it passes the glancing of thieves scanning many bikes as not immediately readable and worth looking more than the next bunch of bikes...? #bikestr

Arresting them and punishing them is pretty far out there, but it might just work.
Not likely to happen, too much like hard work.
Covering a brand new frame in duct tape to deter theives is a time honored tradition. This just seems like an evolution of that.
Different thieves and motives.
High end thieves know what they are looking for and are prepared.
Crack head thieves will steal anything not locked up.
