a week ago i started using alacritty terminal again.. ..not everything has been awesome, so i'm going back to kitty terminal.. ..i'm really glad i gave alacritty a solid chance again because it has a ton positives, but it's not perfect.. ..here are a few of the issues i've had that kitty seems to just do/handle much better:

- multiple instances - with more that 6 instances open, instances glitched/flickered

- multiple cursors - in CLI apps like Micro editor, multiple cursors didn't always function correctly

- refresh rate - in CLI apps like CAVA, the refresh rate made the display choppy/distorted

- image previews - in CLI apps like ranger, image previews require jumping through hoops to function smoothly and cleanly

(for reference, all but the image previews also work better in XTerm)
