My nsec never went into any other client. Only Amethyst.
This wipe happend to me only once very long ago with Amethyst.
Everything was okay since then, until I started using 0.17.5

Humm I will do some research. The backup only works to block clean ups of the list. If 1 follow is read, it think it must be a valid one...
Well something went wrong in the last version for sure.
Maybe the cache from 0.17.4 messing with 0.17.5?

I didn't touch relays at all.
But that list got shrunk too. I had 15 more relays before (long list but most of them were disabled, upload only
Could you add an indicator on people's profile, showing whether they follow you or not, like most clients do?

Ok, so if relays are not involved things get really weird.
My list of relays isn't just shorter. It was overwritten with different relays. And different parameters.
Relays I haven't seen before, some of them you're using.
Is that the default list for Amethyst? 🤔
Yes, that is the default list. Which tells me that during the 20 mins the app didnt download any new relay information or follow information and probably wasn't even able to save a configuration because the new version has never seen anything else.
So, first time users can still suffer with the same problem if their list is not downloaded. Once they receive the first, the backup takes care of any potential issue.
My relay list and settings are back with 0.17.6 👍
