You argue that an individual should have the right to choose what to reveal, and how to appear, with which I agree. My question is, what exactly distinguishes clothes, walls etc from the dystopian mandatory AR glass filters. What is the fundamental difference? (is there one?)

Well, the obvious answer is choice.

Ideally, one gets to choose whether or not to have their door open, whether it's locked or unlocked, whether they wear a bikini or burqa. They have control over configuration and the transmission of the signal, but not necessarily the propagation or reception. Those things can never be controlled, without causing instability.
