one of my experiments this summer was with sun exposure.

almost daily, i got 15 minutes of sunrise sun exposure, 15 minutes of morning sun exposure, and 15 minutes of peak UVb sun exposure.

I actually got tan. Like, tan tan. Which is something i have never been in my entire life.

By late summer, I was able to spend all day in the sun without getting burned. Which is also something that has never happend in my life.

But the biggest differences were the hormonal changes. Which were significant enough to feel. There was one day in particular this summer, after rising with the sun, doing my routine, working out outside, eating outside, doing a cold plunge, and then doing some labor tasks, where i felt a rush of well being that was stronger than anything i have ever felt in my life. it felt like i had taken some sort of drug. but the drug was just a healthy life pattern.

From a techical stand point, i imagine i had enough natural vitamin D, eumelanin, dhea, oxytosin, and dopamine from diet, light/temperature exposure, and physical activity, to make me feel that way.

but what it made me realize is that the addiction prompt in a psyche can be reversed to promote a healthy lifestyle once you get a taste of just how good you can feel living a healthy life.

Going to have to try this next year, after the rain stops.

Returning back to being a human being again. Everything you describe is what humans have been doing for literally 99.99999999% of the human experience. We are born from the earth, we are animals, we are wild beats, we are form the jungle, we need to be out there in our natural habitat, anything else will be a slow, painful death.

How could this be incorporated in day to day though, todays corp. culture is the antithesis of this, bad illumination, screens 8+ hours, bad food to malnourish, and psychological attacks..

If you work in an office wear red tinted blue blockers. Long sleeves and pants to minimize skin exposure to artificial light. Try and take even a 2-3 minute break outside every hour to get your eyes into the sun. Load up on the weekends. I have not missed a sunrise in a year and it has transformed all facets my life 🤩

I did similar I wasn't expecting my eyesight to be better by the end of it too.

We are actually wired to BE addicted TO the sun.

OK I gotta head out and get some sun....but thanks for following me I will work to post the best anti-semite content and will also work to throw in the N-word more often, but that one is tough.

Once you build your solar callus it’s quite hard to burn. I can sit on the beach 6 hours in El Salvador , ain’t burning. Vitamin d and sun exposure is insanely good for your body. Cured my severe depression.

Same thing here. I wake up with the sun. Spend the first few hours of the day outside, rain or shine, some of it with my shirt off. There is a definite difference in my health.
