Iβm seeing the same. Phone always runs hot with Damus on. Could be just because Nostr is so hot right now? ;)
I keep it on the wireless charger (lower power) and for the past week or so have been ending the day below full power due to Damus usage.
Definitely have lots more optimizations to do. I recently added things like signature checking on profiles so that relays canβt send fake lightning addresses, so that might make things warmer. Lots more battery optimizations coming in the future!

Damus on my newer iPhone running the latest TestFlight 1.4.3 19
According to my 10 day battery logs, Damus uses battery 4.3x faster than YouTube. My settings have me trying to connect to 15 relays.
Damus is my #1 used app. Thank you!!
I've been using it a lot too, and it usually drains a lot, but today seems very different and draining much faster. I charged to 36% twice this morning and both times drained to 12-15% in a matter of minutes. Usually it would take longer than that.
Itβs feeling hotter for me as well. Will see whatβs up
