You’re not the only one. HUGS πŸ«‚ When I first arrived to #Nostr ( over a year ago) almost every post was about #bitcoin.

Deciding to carve your own niche is possible though oftentimes (IMLE) most won’t understand. Guess that’s to be expected.

There are many different entities here & deciding who & what to follow is the users choice. The lack of algorithm here is nice once you learn protocols etc. You may be aware of this but as a non-techie I wasn’t. The learning curve has been steep but worthwhile.

I remain Always a late joiner to most things when it comes to technology. Example: my first time on Twitter was 2022. πŸ˜‚

Please know that one of the good things about Nostr is being able to develop your own content & owning your content. I’ve seen this play out for others. No: I won’t try to get you to buy #bitcoin either because there are others if you choose that route.

My bluntness can often seem abrasive to many but I say this with love: here goes:

Many are either addicted to the drug of social media or are in a chokehold when it comes to Twitter.

In the past: when some asked me to give them the courage to leave Twitter or X my response was this:

Define your values. Doing so will give you the right answer.

This seemed to work for many, though most are still on BlueSky even today. We go on.

Be who you are. It’s the best any of us can do. Nice to see another writer here. In the past I did fan-fiction. Mocking others etc. Poetry has always been my favorite genre to seek to understand the world. Looking forward to seeing more of what you write ✍️

Welcome πŸ™

Wow that's quite a answer! If people like you (non-Bitcoiners) have been staying here for a year, I might have a chance then hehe.

Same with Twitter, I only joined a few years ago and left like ~2 years ago. Life is definitely better without shit storms that happen on Twitter on a daily basis.

What I like about Nostr is this place is absolutely alive. Somehow (different people using different clients with different feed algorithms, apparently) users react to what I post and it doesn't disappear in the web void. Hell, I didn't even expect anybody to read my rant,

I'll probably keep posting my random observations πŸ€“

Friend: I’m with you 100% on being who you are. It’s the best we can be.

Also: apologies for just now seeing this. Mystery of Nostr is always a new lesson for me. Same as everything in life.

Bring all the rants, I say. Here here said in my best Whig party accent πŸ˜‚.

Lastly: I have a β€œthing” for that nerd πŸ€“ emoji so you automatically are awesome in my heart. πŸ˜‚πŸ™Œ

Time to sub post the hell about it now. Later Skater πŸ›Ή
