Has anyone noticed that some self-checkout machines have cameras directed above your head pointed down? They literally record you punching your PIN in for your debit card. Not cool!

Lol yeah i make it a point to try and block the view with my hand.

Jokes on them, my credit card doesn’t have a pin 😂

One reason I get annoyed when contactless fails and I have to enter a pin. More so for pick pockets / robbery risk than the camera though.

I always cover the keyboard while typing.

Even if i'm alone in the night at the gas station

How long until the camera across the room can derive your pin from your body motion?

PIN is not cool.

I work in a law office. The security footage in walmarts and meijers and all the big retailers are terrible quality. It would be hard to tell if you had an extra finger or 3, much less any numbers you push. But, yes, eventually that will be an issue.

I find the places that use a camera to record a person’s face at self checkouts to be extremely invasive!

MUCH prefer going to a line where there’s an actual PERSON cashier and will wait in queue for it.
