I need a word for when you're just friends and interact with each other. You don't follow each other, but rather you're _______.

Maybe connection. We could easily ditch follower counts and start thinking in terms of reach. This person has little reach and that person has very wide reach. It’s a simple way to lower the ego and ditch visible counts.
Connection is good. Having a number for how many genuine connections you have with people, I think would be the best metric.
you don't have one friend in your group who has a one way connection with 10,000 people. why are we doing that on nostr?
One way connections are such a social media platform thing, with all the influencers and parasocial relationships.
We have a chance to make real connections and communities. It would be a waste to centralize around a few big personalities that everyone subscribes to.
