Some day you'll have a teen and they'll get a license, and they'll break something on your car. Don't get mad. This is an opportunity to take them to a "pull a part" junk yard and teach them how to do some pretty basic repairs on the cheap. In this case it was replacing a mirror. $25 and less than 1 hr total time. Tools? Trim tool and socket set. Confidence boosted.

Oh, and don't let them drive "the nice car" when they're still learning.
