Are zap to see notes a thing?

If they were, would it be a client side issue, protocol issue, or both?

I think any client could do this, but it would require a protocol change to enforce it beyond a particular client. If that's even possible.

I know relays can have that functionality, kinda like a patreon-esque flow. Not sure on a note by note basis if thats what you are thinking.

Seems like itd have to be on the relay level to authorize if an npub has the right to see the note. But nothing would stop a person from broadcasting the note to relays without that rule.

Yeah I figured relay level would only apply to that relay.

Maybe a type of event that acts similar to an encrypted DM but can only be decrypted after zapping the note would work.

That sounds interesting

Although, I suppose exposing the decryption key once would theoretically expose it for good. Piracy 🤔

One of the working girls used to have notes with a lightning invoice to pay to see the picture. Not sure how she did it

My guess is some external tool, but that is cool. Would love to know what was used.
