And nobody learns how to think in government schools. That is why homeschooling is so critical. Parents care about the kids and want them able to think for themselves. Teachers find it easier if all of the kids are compliant, so even the ones who think they are teaching kids to think, tend to act in such a way as to silence the independent thinkers teaching all of the kids to be silent, listen, and blindly follow.

As an employer I find it so frustrating. Very few people can problem solve. It is easy to find people if all they have to do if follow the formula you give them. If they actually have to think for themselves, problem solve, and figure things out for themselves, most seem to be incapable. I don't believe they are inherently that stupid. I think they are taught to be that way.
