🇬🇧 UK’s Online Safety Act is now in effect.
It forces platforms to scan for “illegal” and “harmful” content (even in private messages) and implement strict age checks for adult sites with face scans and ID checks.
Signal and WhatsApp warn it threatens encryption, privacy, and online anonymity.

ProtonVPN or Mullvad
Avoid NordVPN and ExpressVPN, basically all the "famous" ones.
mullvad is better than proton, because can be paid for by lightning. but it does not play ball with ssh and vm. so I switch to free proton sometimes.
