Some bridges, roads maybe some electrical infrastructure. Even trains and railroads. It's only justice. I doubt the world can afford to pay them in full though even the Chinese and Russians.

I doubt things will get a lot better for them on account of switching masters. Russia can't afford to be any nicer to them than the US can. Markets, nature, and geopolitics don't give out participation trophies.

Having contested territory MAY give them some small edge, but it is unlikely. What is more likely is that their territory will be "nominated" as a battlefield for a proxy war.

But what can be done is to lure them to china and Russia with token investment projects so and not making them IMF slaves.
