I constantly hear people trying to justify the need for Bitcoin (or unschooling, search for liberty,...).

The need does not matter. We don't need to justify anything.

We want it, we pay the price (=demonstrate preference in the presence of scarcity).

This also applies to talking to others though. We should not convince people they need bitcoin (or unsch....). They might want it, for whatever reason. We might tell them why we want it, but ultimately, it's their choice to demonstrate their preferences...

No "saving the world" narrative is necessary. No justification of energy consumption is necessary.

'Show, don't tell' is usually the best approach on pretty much anything.

Those who are in it to save the world will justify any means.

For me Leading by Example is what works. People see what you do. They get interested. They ask questions... and the best part - there is no force.
