All I really want to do is be able to connect primal web to my Alby hub without it setting up a new npub. I just tried it and while I can use the Alby browser extension to connect to Primal web in chrome, once I am into Primal web there is no way to log in as my existing xpub.

I thought there was a way to import your existing nostr keys into the nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm extension but I donโ€™t remember exactly how to do that. Tagged them in case they have a moment to respond.

Sure thing, nostr:npub1z5ad2zt6ujnrg8gllkv587ke9slg26dgcslxt6qtyqw6s28jytmqymplkv, any time you connect new wallet/node to the extension, new profile is being created (in the extension) with new - random - Nostr keys.

You need to go to "wallet settings"

Then in "Key Management" -> "Nostr Keys" you can import (paste) your previous, existing nsec, so you could use your profile.

Alby Extension will to to sign the events of the wallet that is currently active there.

Cool I will give it a shot. Today was my first attempt at doing this with anything other than a mobile client. Itโ€™ll be great if I can get it working on web clients.

Works like a hot damn. Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Primal's terms of service is exactly like X/Twitter why would anyone use it
