I would lean to threadripper as gaming desktop shit does not have enough PCIE lanes. My old desktop now server is threadripper and the lanes are the best feature, multiple graphics cards and fast drives no problem, more capacity for ram. Just cost more that’s the only downside.

Mostly will run Navisworks: https://www.autodesk.com/products/navisworks/overview with data centers and huge factories doing clash detection and other things I don’t understand.

Most of the time these two simultaneously, while doing a whole bunch of other stuff.
They run a lot of 3D in the browser for their clients. Chrome and edge use 16gb ram alone 😅
