I don't think Tauri qualifies as "native desktop" and can't promise any bounties to that, but if you think it is worth pursuing and it ends up being great and people using it I'll pay a bounty too.

Specifically, my problem with web-desktop apps is that, while they can be better than web-browser apps (and in this case that is very likely given the Rust backend and probably a fast native datastore) they are not different from web apps enough.
