Well I’ll preface by saying I’m not certain what you’re aiming for on Nostr, but also, I’m not sure what Nostr even is yet.

We think it’s decentralized social, but I have all kinds of ideas on how it could be used in ways that pay the people hosting infrastructure, that isn’t social.

To roll with the metaphor though, maybe your payout is an unruggable brand, with an unruggable audience? Perhaps that’s a really valuable thing.

If there’s value in that, then building momentum early could pay off, but I’d say we need critical mass.

Thinking about Russel Brand, and the effort he’s gone to in creating a funnel from YouTube into Rumble, seems to me, platforms are quite sticky, hard to peel the audience away once captured.
