Yeah I think muting, at least for this wave of spam, is ineffective. They all only ever post once. We’ll need new heuristics. That’s fine though - this was inevitable. The most obvious would be to mute comments from users with a particular couple paragraphs in their bio 😂
But maybe now is really when we figure out the web of trust or proof of work per note.
Seems like reactions, notes, and comments could use proof of work. Zaps are already on that reusable proof of work jam 🤘

Friend filter, paid-only relay filter, degrees-of-separation filter. don’t have this yet but would be easy to add. Friend filter would remove from notifications at least (button on top right of notifications screen)
Didn’t even notice the friend filter until now. Any specific relays we could look for?
