Hi nostr, checking in for the evening, and catching up on my nostr scrolling. Today i got the house cleaning done, then went outside to work on some garden bed edging that needed to be replaced. The outside work was much more enjoyable, with the sunshine and the sounds of the animals. Plus it just felt good to work up a sweat even though the day was cool.

I've been watching the peafowl as they start to mature, and today one of them started squawking over and over. I finally realized it was a warning call over a hawk flying around overhead. I thought that was interesting, and it might help to warn the pigeons, who get picked off by hawks regularly.

Well thats about it. Time to get a bite to eat and rest up for tomorrow. Yall have a good evening nostr friends. #grownostr #homesteading #countrylife #farmlife

Yes! Our Guinea hens are excellent for early warning and protection. They're so great.
