What’s your HODL setup?

I need to select the software wallet to go with the MK4 hardware.

So far, I’ve reduced my selection to Sparrow or Wasabi, planning to combine that to a watch-only Blue or Nunchuck.

What do you central bankers do?

Definitely Sparrow.

Sparrow is the GOAT

Also if you’re on Android, I’d recommend Sentinel as your watch-only

Nunchuk assisted multisig. Sparrow watch only connected to my node.

And others for smaller amounts and expenses.

Brain + seed signer + encrypted flash drive stashed with someone you trust.

ColdCards make me EXTREMELY anxious 😬

And a watch only wallet 👀 using blue wallet rn

I feel you, I want a simple recovery process and I’ll be testing this. seed signer is extremely appealing

Sounds pretty good. I don't trust devices with secure elements. So I would definitely use a passphrase with the device. Back it up. Confirm my backup. Then wipe it.

I'm assuming that wiping the device also wipes any saved data in the so-called secure element. I don't know. I use a Trezor Model T that doesn't have a secure element. Then I wipe it for cold storage.

I also like Super Shamir for backups. Because it's fun to play with the possibilities. Sounds like you got it. Best of luck..👍🧡😊

You can add some entropy to it.

Definitely going to test Nuke all scenario!

Yes, I use a high entropy passphrase. 256 bits or better. An easy secure way to create a high entropy passphrase\password is with one of the keepass clients.

I like keepass2android for Android. Mine is optimized and hardened. Also as you know. Don't store your seed and passphrase together. If you lose either one though, you're screwed. And don't store your seed words online etc..👍🧡😊

Some great advices! Thanks!

Sparrow. There was a shady report about wasabi censoring certain whirlpool transactions in the past.

👌

It looks good, I just want to test recovery extensively.

Bull bitcoin recommended wasabi and I’m curious why

Maybe he’s sponsored by them?

Most likely!

Sparrow. No contest.

Sounds like someone did the dirty work? :P

Just found nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx has a pretty sweet, straight to the point tutorial for coldcard + sparrow in case anyone is curious.
