My memory stays fairly consistent over time. I don't think it skews like what you're describing unless a really long time has passed. It all depends on the time I spend with the document, drawing, or place; the more I'm mindfully exposed, the more accurate the "photograph". If I remember something wrong, most likely I'm actually just guessing.
