With Nostr someone can make multidimensional spreadsheets with custom views, and cells can be either local values or references to values in Nostr events, or live feeds from Nostr subscriptions, or values that change using parameterized replaceable events.

The first iteration of such a crazy idea would be to just write a stupid Excel (or Ethercalc or whatever) plugin to add a =NOSTR.EVENT() or =NOSTR.ADDR() or =NOSTR.FILTER() functions. But I failed to do that when I tried.

THIS is the "world computer"

I'm not even sure what I'd do with all that power, but I'd be willing to try it. I'm not normally an Excel user, but I'm teaching Excel to business students this semester and wanted to introduce them to nostr anyway…

Also, Excel is integrating Python now, so this could get crazy real fast.

Just show them the Joel Spolsky video "you suck at excel".

The Python thing is fake though. It runs on Azure.

Almost all my students are using 365, so they'll never know the difference. :(

#spreadstr

I made that the other day! It's pretty simple with data structure I've defined for Pinstr events.
