Do you set yourself a target for amount of books to read each year? I've never thought about it until people at work mentioned it. They're doing 50 and tracking it on Goodreads (I probably can't be arsed with that). Which seems reasonable 🤔

Why would you need a target? Just read what you want when you can. Are those people at work really reading books or are they just "book droping"? Have fun. Regards

That's the thing that would put me off. But I would like more reading discipline. But I don't want to just be gaming it, cheating lol. I don't think I'd do that tbh. But yeah.

And obviously it's more complicated than just quantity. It's just an idea

In my opinion, a better approach would be to set a specific schedule for reading: daily, weekly, every forthnight, whatever; and just stick to it. It would build your reading discipline and, soon enough, you cannot go without it.

Yes that is probably the most sensible way to go about this:)
