I’ve dealt with ReplyGuy for more than a week when I could have just tapped the blank man’s profile which I didn’t even know was a thing?!

Genuinely annoyed I could have avoided this shit for a week if I knew better. It’s reduced my time on here.
it's a difficult issue because everyone has different relay sets, so there no way to know what users are seeing spam and what users are not. The only thing I can reliably suggest is people use my relays since I don't see the spam.
I'm also just a single dude who already spends way too much time on nostr when I could be building instead. I am not a corporation with a massive team helping every single person on the network who is having issues without me knowing it. I do help everyone who messages me on here though, I am pretty good at replying to most mentions since I have notedeck open all day on my computer.

What I have been thinking about and will most likely be moving towards is a pluggable nostrscript that takes various values as input (WoT score, the note, total zaps received from that user) and provides it to a pluggable spam filter so it can be constantly updated to fight new spam tactics.

But this is the second time I missed out on Damus updates that matter to me as a User.
And by matter I mean, every Damus user should know this stuff because without it the UX is massively degraded. I’ve dealt with ReplyGuy for more than a week now, unnecessarily, which could have been avoided if I just knew what you just shared.
Please start using the nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 account better and putting stuff out there. Do it multiple times. I’d rather see the solution to a problem 3X than 0X as has been the case here.
Maybe you have done that but I’m in Australia so basically opposite timezones to you and haven’t seen anything except for 50 replies to every fucking post I’ve made from the bot.
