Nearly through Mandibles. Thanks nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx for so many mentions of it. It's well written and close enough to reality that it really hits in a way that many post-apocalyptic stories don't.

In my opinion is around 1% of what Atlas shrugged is.
Also in length. 😂
Well yeah, but it consists of a fully complete philosophical system.
Meanwhile the Mandibles is just lost people trying to survive the apocalypse.
Atlas shrugged is the Zionist version of human action by mises
Sure, but it's an easier read than When Money Dies.

It’s good, I gave it 3.5 out of 5.
I appreciated the lesson of how quickly all the fiat world could turn upside down.
I didn’t like the passivity and compliance of the characters at times.
Mandibles and lodging of wayfaring men are two Bitcoin community recommended books I want to start soon
Lodging of Wayfaring Men is a good story, but IMO the writing is weak which made it harder to read. Still worth it.
Ah okay! My head is buried deep in Libertarian and Austrian economics literature from people like Mises, Rothbard and Hayek so it'll be a while before I read them.
Looking forward to it!
Agreed, Mandibles is scary af, precisely because it seems plausible
