I once told a judge that legal and lawful are two different things and that the law had already been established in courts (common law country). Furthermore that it was his duty to uphold the law as defined by courts not as defined in the code of law that was refuted in said courts. Any judgement otherwise would see public challenges and an investigations. They fiddled and diddled and spent a cpl months spending my lawyer money but in the end they didnt want the smoke.
