How can we know the way if we don't know the goal? Nostr is not X, Insta, WhatsApp whatever - I think Nostr will not become consumer mainstream.
it certainly can become mainstream. it’s still early. all those apps you mentioned can be built on nostr.
I love it over there. The vibe is great. Signing up was easy. Finding my way around to discover topics is easy. The conversation and vibe is incredible.

I think there's room for block chain in nostr. I see a service where you can stamp your identity on the block chain. Identity = profile + contacts. Then time travel to see the history. Also this allows you to change your key over time. Say you start off in a custodial app, you can transition to be self-sovereign, but you are not forced to. You will do it when you see the advantages.
